Good Morning,
I am back from a week at the Myrtle Beach. I have included the URL for the conference I am attending next week - Sunday through Tuesday. Perhaps some of the speakers names will mean something to some of you. Three of us are going to conference and I hope to be able to share information with you once I get back on Thursday. I have family in Memphis so I will not be back in the office until Thursday and I am flying out in a couple of days.

Now that we kinda have a quorum, could you check out doug johnson's webpage http://www.doug-johnson.com/presentations/ for his topics and post your impressions? Also, can anyone suggest another keynoter in case we cannot get Doug Johnson's price down? Should we try for one of the specakers that we had last year to do keynote -- Will DeLamater or Dan Ream? I know everyone loves Kelly Hammond, but she is expensive also. Please share your thoughts and ideas.

I finally logged on and also can not weigh it on Doug as I have not heard him personally, though I have heard from others that he is supposed to be excellent.

I can't comment on these two speakers. I've heard neither.

I have not heard Doug Johnson speak, so I can't really comment on him. What are we looking for in a keynote speaker? Just technology, technology in the classroom, etc?

Maybe it would be worth getting some ideas from Kneyoke after she attends her conference. I bet our new folks would have some ideas...Jame Britto, etc... Maybe we should set a meeting date in August or early September - thoughts anyone?
